Kogi Commission of Inquiry: Ex-Gov Ibrahim Idris, Wada Drags Gov Bello to Court

Two former Governors of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and Captain Idris Wada have approached Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja challenging the powers of Governor Yahaya Bello to constitute a judicial commission of inquiry.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, recently inaugurated an 8-man Commission of Inquiry to probe the two administrations before him. The Commission of Inquiry is headed by a retired Justice from Kano State, Justice Wada Umar Rano. The commission has the mandate to look into the activities of past administration and expose any misdemeanor.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris filed suit No. HCL/85/2016 at Kogi State High Court on 10th November, 2016 challenging the powers of Governor Bello to constitute the Judicial Commission of Inquiry with respect to Law of Northern Nigeria 1963 citing that the law has not been brought into conformity with 1999 Constitution (as amended).

He, however, said the new president would be visited by many challenges, including attempts to possibly pass a “vote of no confidence” amidst difficulties in the passing of bills.
“The boat of the new president will be rocked,” 
But that was all said last week which by what the electorial result is showing, it says Republican candidate, Donald Trump won the election by a not too narrow margin beating Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton to 289 : 218 with 270 electoral votes to win.

Akwa Ibom Government To Distribute 20,000 Jerseys Ahead Of Saturday’s World Cup Qualifier

Akwa Ibom Government says it will distribute 20,000 T-shirts to football fans to cheer the Super Eagles in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Uyo, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. The state government also constituted a Local Organising Committee for the match. Chairman of the Publicity Sub-committee of the LOC, Nse Edem, said on Tuesday the committee, chaired by the Secretary to Akwa Ibom Government, Etekamba Umoren, had medical, security, accommodation and marketing sub-committees. He said the committee would be coordinated by veteran sports journalist Paul Bassey. Edem said, “As far as we are concerned, there will be no excuses for failure because we have learnt our lessons from the last AFCON qualifier played in Uyo.”“We have put every arrangement in place to ensure they don’t reoccur again

Just when it appeared she was going out of circulation, beautiful songstress Chidinma has returned with a new song titled Fallen in love. Interestingly, the song has been generating positive commendations on the social media. In an interview with Sound City Fm, Chidinma gave the reason why she took a break and what her fans should expect from her. According to her:

”Fortified is my own record label. I took time out to find myself to be sure what kind of music I really want to do. Right now, I just want to enjoy myself basically and do music that I love. I want to express myself confidently and do music that I love. I took time out to be sure of the next step to take.”

 When asked why she deleted her instagram pictures and left just a few pictures, she says:”I just wanted to start fresh. People were calling me to ask what has happened.”

Nigerian male barbie doll and internet sensation, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, has tested positive to the dreaded HIV and AIDS disease and has been managing it since last year, a supposedly insider source has claimed. The anonymous source claims to be a medical doctor and a friend to Bobrisky’s Indian doctor. According to the source in a letter to NaijaGists yesterday, Bobrisky has been placed on antiretroviral medicines since September 2015 and was still at his doctors’ last week to get new prescriptions. The source also said that Bobrisky should be tried criminally for hiding his HIV status from his numerous male partners. S
